About Us

The California International Education Foundation focuses on the facilitation of innovation and creativity in education – K-8, Pre-College, University-level, and Graduate-Professional. It is an approved 501c-3 and registered with the California Secretary of State as a non-profit organization.

The Foundation and its representatives have engaged in a broad range of activities designed to facilitate innovation and creativity in education:

  • training programs for K-12 educators from China designed to familiarize participants with the American educational system, individualized instruction, the use of media in and out of the classroom, curriculum design, and student assessment. The primary emphasis was on strategies by which they could integrate activities that inspire innovation and creativity within their highly structured and regulated classrooms.

  • experiential programs on entertainment and media management in Los Angeles for undergraduate and graduate students from top Chinese universities. The programs provided a combination of professional and academic presentations coupled with daily excursions to Los Angeles area venues — including film studios, theme parks, concert venues, technology firms, and university research activities. Guest speakers and performers provided insight into acting, stunt effects, marketing research, electric automobile technology, creative design, and tourism.

  • financial support for disadvantaged high school students with demonstrated creative potential to participate in dance, mask making, and pottery classes on weekends.

  • donations of educational equipment and musical instruments for use by high school students without the means to purchase them on their own.

  • interdisciplinary instruction, advising, and guidance for high school students engaged in research on topics for which they have a demonstrated passion. The coursework facilitated the individual exploration of topics and issues about which students had passion.
